POSITION: FOREMAN
JOB GOAL: To maintain the physical school plant and grounds in a condition of operating excellence so that the full educational and community use of them may be made at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in building cleaning and operations.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and general public.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Other additions to the above as the School Committee may find appropriate.
- Ability to move, lift, stack furniture, cartons of school and custodial supplies, i.e., minimum weight of 50 pounds.
REPORTS TO: Head Custodian & District Custodial Supervisor
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To oversee the shift assigned as to the completion of cleaning and maintenance responsibilities.
- To perform a reasonable share of the workload.
- To ensure that the staff is performing up to expected standards of building cleanliness.
- To develop a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among the shift crew.
- To maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and to notify Head Custodian when supplies are needed.
- To maintain building security.
- To report maintenance and other problems observed to the Head Custodian.
- To be courteous at all times to other personnel and the general public.
- To perform other duties as may be assigned.
