Baron Hospitality is excited to announce that we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager for our newly renovated-converted Spark by Hilton Birmingham Colonnade.
Job Summary
We are seeking someone to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in hospitality management. This role is crucial in ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, and driving revenue growth while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and improve overall service quality.
- Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize profitability and occupancy rates.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective human resources management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain strong guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure seamless operations and adherence to hotel policies.
- Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as hotel standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably as a Hotel General Manager or similar position.
- Strong understanding of guest services, customer service principles, and hotel operations.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in revenue management and strategic planning within the hotel sector.
- Ability to build relationships with guests and staff while promoting a culture of excellence in service delivery.
- Familiarity with human resources practices related to recruitment, training, and employee development is essential.
