What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server, F&B Dining Room position at Barona Resort & Casino?
OBJECTIVE:
Provides dining service to all customers in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a casino floor environment which is smoke filled or a restaurant environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reports to work on time, as scheduled and in proper uniform. Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Follows department and casino policies and procedures.
- Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service to customers, according to departmental and outlet standards.
- Has knowledge of all food and beverage health codes, and makes safety first priority. Ensures that all areas are kept clean and free of any potential hazards.
- Participates as a team member with staff in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Customer Services.
- Places food orders following the sequence of service. Monitoring customer needs ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled in assigned sections.
- Continually refines and develops knowledge of all Food and Beverage items.
- Completes all work duties in an efficient and proper manner on a daily basis.
- Answers any customer questions and/or complaints and directs concerns to appropriate management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of health and sanitation standards
Oral and written communication and computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow oral or written instructions, lift a minimum of 25 pounds, sit, stand or walk continuously for 8 hours or longer
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Current Food Handler’s Education Certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3 months customer service experience preferred
