Position Overview:
We seek a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager/ Sales Executive with experience in soils, horticulture, or farming practices to join our team. In this role, you will drive sales, build strong relationships with new and existing key accounts, provide industry insights, and customer feedback, and educate clients on the benefits of our high-quality compost solutions.
As a vital member of our sales strategy team, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and increasing revenue through personalized, consultative sales. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional sales expertise with a solid understanding of agricultural and landscaping practices, enabling them to effectively communicate the value of our products to a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including commercial landscapers, farmers, and industry partners, to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Expand the customer base by identifying and securing new sales opportunities.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs, effectively showcasing the value of Barr-Tech’s compost solutions.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely product delivery and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure precise reporting of sales activities and client interactions, track progress, and manage relationships using CRM tools.
- Stay informed on industry developments, competitor actions, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and stay competitive.
- Share insights with the Barr-Tech team to refine approaches and identify emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to sales strategy discussions and planning with the General Manager to align efforts with company goals.
- Participate in trade shows, educational conferences, and industry events to promote Barr-Tech Compost and network with potential clients.
Qualifacations:
At least 5 years of proven sales and account management success, preferably in agriculture, landscaping, or agronomy.
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with the talent to build trust and credibility with clients.
- Highly organized, driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- A natural curiosity about how things work and a commitment to continuously improving knowledge, efficiency, and self-development.
- Ability to prepare and deliver detailed proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements tailored to client needs.
- Expertise in soil health, composting, or regenerative agriculture is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite to track, manage, and optimize sales efforts.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.

Compensation:
- Base Salary of $65,000 - $80,000, DOE plus a robust commission structure.
