The Shipping Clerk Lead at Barracuda is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all shipping and receiving documentation.
What you’ll be working on
- Audit orders and shipping quantities to ensure they match picking documents and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with special projects, shipping points, services, and freight permits as directed by Lead or Supervisors.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols (CTPAT) and manage driver/visitor sign-ins.
- Handle phone calls professionally, routing messages to the appropriate individuals.
- Process and document tracer inquiries, packing lists, invoices, and necessary shipping data via email, fax, and ERP systems.
- Maintain shipping stations, ensuring they are stocked and in good working order.
- Coordinate shipment information, notify consignees of arrivals, and arrange freight movement with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Assemble and package merchandise according to instructions, ensuring accurate shipment preparation.
- Monitor inventory of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as needed.
- Prepare and verify bills of lading, ensuring all shipping documents are accurate and complete.
- Gather, enter, and maintain shipping and receiving data in the warehouse management system and complete required reports.
What you bring to the role
- Education: GED or Associate's Degree (AA)
- Experience: 3-5 years in shipping and logistics, including 1-2 years of experience with Domestic/International Shipping, Filing ITNs, Third-Party Scheduling, and Inco Terms.

Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidates’ qualifications and experience.
The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $29 - $33 per hour. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
