Barre Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Director to oversee the Environmental Services Department at our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT.
This full-time role involves ensuring the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable condition while meeting the needs of our residents and staff.
Rate between $65,000- $75,000 annually, dependant on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the facility and its equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain sufficient levels of supplies, disinfectants, and equipment necessary for a safe and sanitary environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure environmental staff adhere to universal precautions, safety regulations, fire and disaster procedures, and department policies.
- Staff Supervision: Conduct daily rounds to monitor the performance of environmental personnel and ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Operational Oversight: Develop and implement plans to address facility maintenance and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance or environmental services role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Training: Knowledge of environmental control practices and procedures is preferred.
- Industry Background: Experience in medical or long-term care facilities is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
