Schedule : Full-Time, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Starting Pay : $42 / hour, commensurate with experience
About the Role
Barre Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Infection Control / Staff Development Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility. This dual-role position combines infection prevention expertise with staff development responsibilities, emphasizing epidemiology, public health practices, and administrative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Development :
Conduct orientation for all new employees and provide ongoing training for current staff.
Plan and schedule in-service trainings with internal and external speakers.
Maintain a comprehensive training planner / schedule for all departments.
Ensure all mandatory annual in-services are completed.
Keep detailed records of all training sessions conducted.
Infection Control :
Lead efforts to prevent, investigate, monitor, and report infectious disease outbreaks within the facility.
Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
Prior supervisory nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and public health nursing practices, with hands-on experience.
