Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Team Member (FTM) to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment. The FTM will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department. Not only are we looking for day-to-day finance abilities, but we also want a team player ready to be part of our growing success. We want to build the future of the company not just a body to fill a position.
Duties:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist in credit analysis and financial services tasks
- Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records accurately
- Support the finance team in financial concepts and technical accounting tasks
- Collaborate with financial data management software daily
- Ad hoc reporting as needed
- Taking ownership of personal self-growth
- If capable, we don't stop handing off projects, task, and opportunity to the right person
Requirements:
- Adaptability – Deals with change and ambiguity well; adjusts and alters behavior when change occurs so priorities are still met. We are a growing and changing company, we need you to be able to help assist those needs
- Resourcefulness – Finds ways around obstacles or lack of resources; addresses potential problems and obstacles with a high degree of professionalism and in a way that aligns with the company’s strategy.
- College degree, preferably in finance/management/economics
- Real life experience (no college grads)
- Proficiency in financial concepts and technical accounting
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Knowledge of ADP, Quicken, and other accounting software, desired
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial services industry
- Prior experience in accounting
- Proficiency in using an accounting software
