Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day cyber operations for business units within the USA region.
- Act as the cyber point of contact for staff at all levels of the organization, and service providers such as the MSSP.
- Develop and deliver tailored cyber awareness training, relevant to individuals, business areas, or business units as appropriate, and assess ongoing training effectiveness and workforce cyber maturity in a process of continuous improvement.
- Maintain the Cyber Incident Response Plan (IRP) to ensure it is effective at all times. Undertake simulation testing of the IRP with response team members.
- Support and backup the Incident Coordinator during cyber incident response and provide operational leadership as a key member of the Incident Response Team.
- Work constructively with local, regional and global colleagues, including the NIOA Group Cyber Security Manager, to understand, measure and maintain compliance with all cyber security related compliance obligations, e.g. DFARS, NIST, CMMC, ISO, etc.
- Proactively identify and remediate cyber weaknesses, and continuously reduce vulnerabilities and related risk.
- Maintain healthy and collaborative working relationships with international colleagues, e.g. Cyber Operations Analysts and external service providers in other regions.
- Support the development, awareness and adoption of internal cyber security policies, procedures etc.
- Maintain awareness of, and ideally familiarity with, various cyber security vendors and current products, and contribute to security architecture planning activities.
- Provide information security advice to the business, including evaluating new systems, software, and services for cyber risk, and propose mitigating controls.
- Develop collaborative relationships across Defense Industrial Base and represent NIOA’s interests at Defense industry meetings and events.
- Deliver operational cyber reporting for varied stakeholders as required, e.g. business unit management, executive leadership, and Information Security Committee (ISC).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5 years’ experience in cyber operations, including incident management.
- Developing and delivering cyber awareness training to increase cyber security maturity and organisational preparedness.
- Identifying and remediating cyber risks and threats in a complex environment.
- Administering cyber security systems and services, e.g. SIEM, EDR, VMS, particularly Microsoft technologies.
- Evaluation and implementation of cyber security solutions.
- Occasional travel required.
- Maintain valid driver's license.
- Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar.
