Position Summary
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager - This position will be responsible for introducing and improving manufacturing processes throughout the plant. The manufacturing engineer will plan, direct, and coordinate these processes within a team environment and is required to support both internal and external team members.

- Design and Develop mission critical manufacturing processes for both new products as well as implementing new processes to replace old or obsolete equipment.
- Update and Improve processes as needed for design changes, quality concerns, capacity issues, and / or safety problems on existing products / processes.
- Create process flow charts, process routers, and work instructions.
- Team member for New Product Development teams.
- Ensure work instructions, and process routers are available for Quality Control, Purchasing, Inventory, and Production personnel.
- Create Design Concepts and source new fixtures and tooling for various manufacturing operations.
- Perform time studies on new and existing processes.
- Design tools to aid in assembly and processing.
- Assess equipment needed for operations.
- Research new technology to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- Provides cost analysis on new and existing processes.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specification and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specification and quality standards.
- Perform related duties as needed by the Product Development team to manufacture new products.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or management.

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, and/or relevant experience.
- 5 years manufacturing experience minimum.
- Experience in the manufacture of small arms and ammunition desired.
- Understanding of GD&T, machining, finishing, and assembly preferred.
- Moderate skills with Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint are needed.
- Moderate CAD skills are needed (Solidworks Preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems required, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Great Plains experience preferred.
- Maintain valid driver’s license.
- Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
