Barrett Hospital & HealthCare invites applications to fill an Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technician position to join our Cardiopulmonary team. The EKG Tech performs EKG tracing/stress test set-up, educates patients on equipment set-up of some outpatient studies (including: Holter monitors, Event monitors, Cardiac Telemetry units, Oximetry units and Home Sleep units), uploads equipment and studies when complete, processes studies and sends to HIM for scanning, works the department work ques, in addition to answering calls from the clinic for available studies/equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma/GED, physical stamina, attention to detail, good verbal, and written communication skills plus a compassionate and caring nature. Within 12 months of hire candidate will be required to test for their Electrocardiograph Technician Certification.
