What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator, Utilization Review & Discharge Planning position at Barrett Memorial Hospital?
Barrett Hospital & HealthCare invites applications to fill a Utilization Review & Discharge Planning Registered Nurse (RN) position to join our Quality Improvement Services team. The RN is responsible for conducting utilization review on inpatients, observation patients, and swing bed patients. The RN will review charges and perform discharge planning for all inpatient and swing bed patients. The RN assists the Quality Services/Risk Management Director with quality and performance improvement projects. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational and time management, be a motivated learner, have above average interpersonal and customer service skills, be a self-starter, have an innovative spirit, expertise in hospital business acumen, be a problem-solver and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and RN license, required. Candidates without a nursing licensure may be considered, however a Bachelor's Degree is required. Computer proficiency and experience with electronic medical record documentation. A minimum of five years of related healthcare or hospital experience is preferred.
