Purpose : Packaging Material Handler
The Packaging Material Handler will be responsible for movement & location tracking of bulk ingredients & finished products throughout the facility using a forklift.

Responsibilities :
Utilize Barrett’s ERP system, Plex, for location of bulk product
Ensure quality of bulk product by inspecting product prior to movement
Scan bulk product onto the packaging line it will hang on
Safely hang 2,000lb bulk product on the packaging line & notify the packaging operator
Weigh any bulk product that did not get packaged into smaller bags & report it to the packaging operator
Ensure FIFO
Enter product information & print labels for pallets in our ERP system, Plex
Screen kibble as necessary
Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete paperwork
Wrap & transport finished pallets to the warehouse & stage for shipping
Count and check orders as they are packaged for accuracy
Minimum Requirements :
Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Ability to bend, stoop and reach
Must have basic computer skills
Must be detail oriented
Ability to be on feet and walking throughout the eight-hour day.
Schedule : Monday - Friday
Hours :
2nd Shift 1 : 15 pm - 9 : 45 pm
3rd Shift 9 : 15pm - 5 : 45am
Compensation : $21 / hr 2nd shift $22.50 3rd shift
