Floral Designer

Responsibilities will include:

• Selecting and arranging flowers to create standard and customized floral arrangements.
• Ordering fresh flowers from wholesalers as required.
• Maintaining an adequate supply of wires, foams, vases, tapes, and other hardgoods.
• Answering phone/taking orders
• Providing outstanding customer service and contribute to sales growth
• Help customers with product selection and answer questions.
• Checking and responding to email
• Processing flowers and caring for plants
• Scheduling and managing event set up
• Creating unique wedding and event florals
• Consulting with brides and event coordinators
• Must have skills:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from the American Institute of Floral Designers is advantageous.
• Proven floral design experience. Minimum of 3 years.
• Event and wedding set up and design.
• Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles, and flower conditioning.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Artistic and creative.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Great team-player skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pay is based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
