Description

The Export and Import Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily management of import and export coordination activities concerning firearms and related products and services. This position not only ensures compliance with global trade regulations but also provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Coordinate and assist moving Barrett related products across international borders, ensuring full compliance with all U.S. and international export and import control laws and regulations.
• Prepare, review, coordinate, and process international document packages to ensure strict compliance with U.S. firearms export and import laws and trade regulations.
• Maintain all trade compliance records to meet regulatory requirements inclusive of tracking performance metrics for importing and exporting, records of shipment dates, expiration dates of export/import licenses and international open borders.
• Conduct denied party screening and technology control plan reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, visitors, and international transactions to ensure that transactions comply with government regulations and internal procedures.
• Resolve customs clearance issues promptly and provide the necessary documentation to reach solutions.
• Support process improvement activities through proactive audits and assessments, ensuring all documentation is thoroughly prepared and reviewed with management, auditors, and legal counsel.
• Domestic travel within the US may be required for continuous training as required

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required
• Two years’ experience in similar role and relevant industry, required.
• Four-year college degree in Business or related field preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Ability to hold and maintain valid driver’s license.
• Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
• U.S. citizenship is required to comply with export regulatory requirements and certain International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration restrictions.

Qualifications Requirements

• Strong abilities and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• High levels of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities, particularly when being involved in multiple projects at any given time.
