Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Maintenance Parts Coordinator in our Goldstrike Underground Maintenance department.

This position will provide support for all Underground Mobile Maintenance projects and planning. This support shall include, but not be limited to ensuring parts are located and staged for all scheduled maintenance jobs, coordinating machine issues with Predictive Maintenance/Condition Monitoring groups (both internal and external), coordinating with Supply Chain and setting stocking levels, etc.
In addition, the Underground Parts Coordinator, will be responsible for material extensions, entering stock requests, assisting with on-time parts delivery, and looking at past material usage along with component replacement forecasts to determine proper stocking levels at site as well as local inventory levels held by Business Partners.
The successful candidate will coordinate activities that support NGM’s best business practices. When necessary, the successful candidate will modify existing or create new operating procedures and other tools that will ensure maximum asset value is achieved while staying true to the Nevada Gold Mines Vision and Core Values
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities and tasks:
- Ensure laydown housekeeping and all activities are carried out to a standard that is conducive to ensuring an injury free workplace.
- Work with planning team to ensure that correct procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials are established and closely monitored.
- Operate forklift equipment as required to complete tasks
- Compare all incoming materials to shipping documents to determine any shortage, overage, damage, or incorrect product.
- Track laydown inventory and re-stock parts by ordering on SAP.
- Receive and inspect new equipment’s. Organize laydown inventory to ensure easy and safe accessibility.
- Ensure that all materials records are maintained and well organized
- Maintain strong communications links and good working relationship with planning team
- Demonstrate social awareness, commitment, and compliance with Barrick’s Social Responsibility Policy.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all corporate information.
- Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to all corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience
- Experience in warehousing and material handling including dangerous goods.
- Experience in operating forklift equipment. Familiar with computerized material management (SAP)
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment.
- Solid understanding and applying of MSHA regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
