Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of both surface and underground mining equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basis knowledge of conveyor systems is required.
- Able to troubleshoot and complete repairs on all pumps.
- Basis fabrication skills including welding and cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc are required.
- Able to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type.
- Basis knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and ability to apply those skills to troubleshoot and repair systems.
- Basis knowledge of hoist and shaft maintenance for an underground mine.
- Able to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools.
- Excellent safety and attendance record is required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Able to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.
