About the Role
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer position at Turquoise Ridge operations requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in underground geotechnics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of minerals from the underground mine.
Responsibilities:- Perform visual inspections of underground mining activities to identify rock hazards and provide recommendations.
- Maintain ground support QA/QC program and ensure adherence to Ground Control standards.
- Design and implement ground support systems using rock mechanics properties.
- Analyze and report on geotechnical monitoring data and maintain databases.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geology required.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in underground geotechnics, including geotechnical design work.
- Strong knowledge of rock mass classification systems, geotechnical analysis, structural mapping, ground support designs, and underground mining QA/QC programs.
