This position ensures Nevada Gold Mines' process compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing report, interacting with regulators and process operations, managing projects, and leading site water and air quality initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Represent the process division regarding spill reporting, air compliance deviation, excess emission reporting
- Mange the site water balance and drive freshwater reduction initiatives
- Support stack testing with Process Operations and Environmental groups
- Complete inspections and audits and maintain records for process Environmental compliance
- Coordinate environmental compliance, permitting, training, and closure activities with site operations teams
- Evaluate the severity of accidents incidents, their effect on the environment, and determine proper response or escalation
- Manage large environmental projects, contractors, and consultants
- Manage internal and external Environmental audits
- Accurately maintain process environmental logs and records

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or related required
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, environmental modeling, and interpretation required
- Ability to analyze complex environmental and processing data and generate actionable insights required
- Experience with air emission regulations, permitting, and reporting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of water balance modeling and water quality monitoring strongly preferred
- Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, SQL), databases, and environmental compliance software strongly preferred
- Environmental compliance experience in mining, processing, or industrial fields preferred
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work safely while following applicable safety regulations and procedures
