We are seeking a skilled CHEMIST to join our Cortez Process team at Barrick Gold.
About the Job:
- This role involves performing QA/QC functions in the laboratory for daily operations, working closely with laboratory supervisors.
- You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing laboratory instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, compile, and analyze large sets of QA/QC analytical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conduct research on new laboratory instrumentation and make purchasing recommendations.
- Maintain service contracts and perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a B.S. in Chemistry or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in the mining industry, preferably in a production environment, is highly desirable.
