Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Dewatering Supervisor at our Carlin operations. The Dewatering Supervisor will supervise the Dewatering crew in the operation and maintenance of site dewatering systems, and in the performance of inspection and maintenance activities.

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%) that combined our significant assets across Nevada in 2019 to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world. Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Dewatering Supervisor at our Carlin operations. The Dewatering Supervisor will supervise the Dewatering crew in the operation and maintenance of site dewatering systems, and in the performance of inspection and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities
- Oversee surface mine dewatering activities and ensure that they are planned and executed effectively in support of mining operations.
- Manage multiple well field sites within the Carlin site.
- Coordinate with the Carlin Open Pit and Process Operation teams on dewatering priorities and ensure effective communication and support to the Carlin OP and Process departments.
- Help plan and schedule maintenance activities on pumping systems, well fields, dewatering lines.
- Supervise the safe and effective execution of this maintenance work, either with in-house resources or through external contract resources as required.
- Manage contracts and contract resources pertaining to the scope of work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental permits and coordinate activities with the Environmental Department.
- Responsible for a safe and clean work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with well fields, pumps, etc. preferred
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. required
- Must be able to withstand exposure to heat and cold required
- Acts in a manner that builds trust and demonstrates integrity required
- Initiative, self-management, self-reliance; a sense of responsibility and ownership towards the job required
- Proven safe work record required
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people and departments required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
