To plan, organize and control Supply Chain Vendor Onboarding compliance. Ensure all vendors are up to date and compliant with the Global Vendor Onboarding Standard guidelines. Manage the onboarding and (re)certification of vendors, including completion and verification of World Check for new and current vendors for all of North America. Ensure a high level of support service to end users, while ensuring the standards are followed and all approvals are complete.

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%) that combined our significant assets across Nevada in 2019 to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world. NGM produces approximately 3.5 million ounces of gold a year. The massive mining operation comprises eight mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities and hosts three of Barrick’s Tier One assets: Carlin, Cortez, and Turquoise Ridge. JOB DESCRIPTION
To plan, organize and control Supply Chain Vendor Onboarding compliance. Ensure all vendors are up to date and compliant with the Global Vendor Onboarding Standard guidelines. Manage the onboarding and (re)certification of vendors, including completion and verification of World Check for new and current vendors for all of North America. Ensure a high level of support service to end users, while ensuring the standards are followed and all approvals are complete.
Responsibilities
- Timely onboard and maintain Nevada Gold Mines and Barrick North America Supply Chain Vendors.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the Global Vendor Onboarding Standard
- Ensure all vendors adhere to the vendor certification process
- Ensure all documents are submitted per the Global Supply Chain Standard (i.e., Sole Source Justification)
- Issue Request for Information (RFI) to new vendors that have been reviewed and approved per the standard.
- Ensure vendors comply with the Supplier Code of Ethics (SCOE). Once vendor submits compliance, send responses to correct committee and/or manager.
- Complete and review Suppliers World Check once vendor responds to RFI. Determine if there is a World Check positive hit (potential high risk) or if there is no hit (low, medium Risk) and submit for approval through email received with vendor response
- Gather all information and analyze positive hits with World Check to submit to legal. Decide whether hits are positive or negative based on information gathered.
- Work closely with legal for any human rights related abuse/and or positive hits on World Checks.
- Issue quarterly reports to legal on High-Risk Vendors.
- Provide all Vendor banking information to accounting
- Manage and set up Vendors in SAP S4 and Ariba with SCOE date, add required attachments and provide requestor vendor information.
- Manage and complete recertification/onboarding process for non-order invoice (NOI) vendors (i.e., utilities, charitable donations, royalty vendors, etc.)
- Manage and complete all requests for vendor updates from Vendors, A/P, Supply Chain, managers, etc.
- Be able to organize and set priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously and deal with distractions.
- Perform excellent customer service.
Experience
- One (1) to two (2) years of directly related vendor management experience or equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary
- Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal).
- Make arithmetical computations rapidly and accurately.
- Knowledge of enterprise level software packages is necessary.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
