Barrick Gold Corporation is hiring a Geologist I or Geologist II to be part of the multi-disciplinary Mineral Resource Management project team at the exciting and upcoming Fourmile Project in the Cortez District of Nevada.

As a Geologist and a part of the Barrick Fourmile project team, the successful candidate will support the development of Fourmile through Logistical Ownership, Technical Ownership, Expertise Ownership, and Career Ownership. Each of these aspects of project ownership will provide opportunities to gain experience in project management, geological modeling, and professional development as a geologist. The ideal candidate will have a background in geology with experience in mining and/or exploration preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in core logging, geologic mapping, and exposure to mining and exploration software packages like Leapfrog Geo, Maptek Vulcan, or Deswik.

Responsibilities
Logistical Ownership
- Must maintain an active role in core and RC resource development and delineation drill program management including:
- Target development
- Assisting with budget planning, development, and tracking
- Drill planning and tracking
- Logistics coordination with a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, engineers, core technicians, and drilling business partners
- Data collection, interpretation, and QAQC
- Program reporting
- Supporting core logging team with peer reviews and logging assistance. Logging core as necessary to ensure targets are met
- Aid in interpretation, generation, and refinement of geological and resource models for the area of interest
- Interpretive cross section generation
- Assist with geological and numerical modeling in Leapfrog Geo
- Provide geological interpretation and support to other team members and project decisions
- Report on the project status, budget, and geology on a regular basis
- Present plans, budgets, results, and findings to multiple levels of management at multiple stages of the project
- Participate in professional development training to expand skillset and provide fit for purpose solutions to the project
- Preform other duties as required
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or closely related field required
- Excellent safety record required
- Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
- Previous mining or exploration experience required
- Previous core logging and mapping experience preferred
- Familiarity with mining and exploration software required
