Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Barrington Community Unit School. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Social Work and Type 73 Certification; School Social Work Endorsement. They will be responsible for providing social development studies, monitoring the collection of social developmental history information, and serving as a liaison between the home and school. The successful candidate will also facilitate the effective utilization of existing community resources, attend regular building special service meetings, and participate in annual reviews for special education students.
The Social Worker will work closely with psychologists, guidance counselors, and other staff members to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed. They will conduct in-service workshops for staff and parents, coordinate and disseminate information regarding drug and alcohol issues, and perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
