School Social Worker Position
We are seeking a skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Barrington Community Unit School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete social development histories district-wide and serve as a liaison between the home and school.
- Provide parental education and counseling as needed.
- Facilitate community resource utilization for students and develop services meetings as necessary.
- Participate in special education annual reviews and conduct building in-service workshops for staff and parents.
- Offer individual and group counseling services and facilitate anger management groups for at-risk students.
- Coordinate and disseminate information on drug and alcohol issues within the school environment.
- Participate in RtI/Problem Solving meetings and perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Type 73 Certification with School Social Work Endorsement.
- 1 year of field placement experience in a school setting or equivalent.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Terms of Employment:
