What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Phlebotomist position at Barrington James?
Summary : Provide administrative and clinical support to research site by performing tasks such as assisting the front desk, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, etc. This is a temporary position for approximately 6 months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Previous clinical research experience highly preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
- Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Perform study procedures such as EKG, vital signs, nasal swabs, and protocol specific procedures
- Accurately documenting patient information in health records
- Administer questionnaires and monitor patient compliance
- Acknowledge study patients' needs and tend to them appropriately
- Collect and evaluate medical records for compliance
