The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of cryptographic systems and hands-on expertise in quantum-resistant security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development in post-quantum cryptography, aligning with NIST standards and industry best practices.
- Provide expertise in cryptographic techniques, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, cryptographic primitives, and quantum-resistant algorithms.
- Lead efforts in cryptographic inventory discovery, including the creation of a Cryptography Bill of Materials (CBOM) for effective asset management.
- Analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities in cryptographic implementations, addressing risks such as side-channel attacks, photon number splitting attacks, DoS attacks, Trojan horse attacks, and novel methods targeting Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
- Design and implement secure cryptographic solutions using programming languages like Python and C .
- Evaluate and integrate quantum-safe cryptographic libraries and tools to future-proof systems.
- Stay current with advancements in quantum computing and its implications for cryptography, ensuring readiness to address emerging security challenges.
Qualifications:
- A Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- In-depth understanding of cryptography, including post-quantum cryptography, and familiarity with NIST standards.
- Experience in cryptographic inventory discovery and CBOM creation.
- Strong knowledge of security risks, including side-channel attacks, QKD vulnerabilities, and implementation-based attack vectors.
- Proficiency in Python and C , with a focus on secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with quantum-safe cryptographic libraries and tools.
