What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Investigator position at Barrington James?
We are currently working with a clinical network site looking for a Principal Investigator within Psychiatry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clinical trial participants by providing medical oversight throughout the study.
- Supervise site personnel to ensure the consistent implementation of safe and compliant trial procedures.
- Monitor and document screening failures, safety concerns, and participant retention rates, providing regular reports to study stakeholders.
- Oversee clinical evaluations and assessments in alignment with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and study sponsors, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Perform medical duties in strict compliance with study protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and California state regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements, SOPs, and documentation standards to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Medical License in Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator preferred
- MD Qualified
Must be able to travel onsite in Dallas, Tx
