Quality Control Chemist Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has come up for Quality Control Chemists to join a fast-growing pharmaceutical company with experience in pharmaceutical quality control and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products in a manufacturing environment.
- Conduct analysis using HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry, titration, and dissolution testing to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Carry out stability testing and impurity analysis, following USP, EP, and ICH guidelines.
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, GLP, and data integrity requirements while following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Validate, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Accurately document test results and maintain complete, organised laboratory records.
- Work closely with the quality control team to meet testing deadlines, support investigations, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical or generics manufacturing quality control.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and other analytical techniques.
- Understanding of GMP regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards (USP, EP, ICH).
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with a focus on chemical composition, stability testing, and impurity analysis.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining analytical instruments.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to follow complex procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
