Job Title: Barron Equipment Inc., Outside Sales Representative - Casters
Reports to: Director of Caster Division
Job Purpose
Responsible for generating sales with existing customers and developing opportunities with new customers while providing excellent customer service.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to all external customers and employees at Barron Equipment
- Exceeds customer expectations -- Builds recurring sales and referrals
- Works with Director of Caster Division to determine margins for all caster customers
- Creates profitable business by managing sales expenses and sales
- Creates quotes for customers and prospects
- Conducts onsite visits with customers and prospects with the goal of determining needs, finding solutions, and establishing long term relationships and repeat business
- Initiates cold calls to create opportunities
- Establishes strategic sales plans to meet and exceed the business plan put in place by the Director of Caster Division.
- Embraces Salesforce to manage customer interactions and opportunities
- Establishes time management systems (Salesforce) to systematically and strategically follow-up on quotes and sales activities
- Maintains and grows existing customer accounts through building relationships
- Leverages relationships by working with other Barron territory managers to cross-sell material handling equipment
- Manages projects to completion with focus on building client advocacy
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and providing recommendations that will secure long-term client relationships
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task to complete job duties
- Possesses attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Displays a positive, friendly, and respectful attitude towards customers and co-workers
- Maintains a safe and clean environment by keeping workstations neat and organized
- Follows Barron Equipment’s policies and procedures
- Follows Barron Equipment’s safety policy and customer safety procedures
- Maintains good attendance
- Conforms to company dress code
- Other duties as assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require any supervisory duties.
Physical Demands
- General office duties
- General office/warehouse environment at customer locations
- Extensive overnight travel necessary
- Travels by car visiting clients and prospects
- Frequently types on a keyboard
- Frequently lifts phone receiver to speak with customers and employees
- Reaches overhead to file paperwork
- Climbs stairs to employee lounge and conference room
Cognitive Demands
- Uses P21/Salesforce to calculate unit pricing for parts & services
- Is proficient on how to determine cost and profit
- Applies good reasoning for handling customer complaints

Qualifications
- Employee must be able to execute strong customer service skills
- Proven sales experience; minimum of 2 years in previous administrative position
- Knowledge of inside and outside sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Industrial Casters & Wheels
- Minimum 5 years Sales experience
- Salesforce experience
- Epicor-P21 experience
