Job Description:
BW Papersystems is looking for a talented Commodities leader who will be leading New Product Introductions/New Product Development Sourcing Activities. In this role, the leader is responsible for creating value for the BWP supplier spend and developing structured relationships with key suppliers. You will lead and give your oversight efforts on consistent creation and leadership of all proposals and supplier contracts. This leadership role requires close collaboration with BW Global team, various departments, including site teams, manufacturing operations, engineering, and finance teams.
Job Functions:
Developing commodity leadership by giving a systematic approach to major product categories.
Drive cost reduction and maintain cost control.
Right sizing supply base, maximizing supplier spend with fewer suppliers.
Deliver Productivity and conduct / updating key supplier assessments.
Ensure Supplier Performance to meet Quality and Delivery Objective
Evaluate & maintain supplier performance metrics and accountability.
Support leaders in creating sourcing plans and strategies.
Develop supplier relationships creating value for BWP current and future product needs
Own sourcing strategy / risk management vs. spend.
Creation and Negotiation responsibility for key supplier contracts
Development of strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers that allow delivery of joint supply chain improvement activities
Prepare / approve specifications for all purchases, supplier selection for bids, and analysis of quotation for all major purchases
Support policies and procedures providing an efficient and effective purchasing operation
Supporting parts flow results / owning elevated supplier issues and relationships support product availably and flow to the organization
Demonstrate an ability to work in collaborative environment in seeking decisions
Simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, explore and evaluate them systematically.
Actively listens and adapts communication style to the audience being addressed.

Ability to travel up to 20% to domestic and locations as needed

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree desired, ideally, a relevant professional qualification.
5 years of relevant purchasing and supply management experience.
