When you join Design Group as an Entry-Level Program Lead, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
This role will be onsite at one of our office locations in St. Louis, MO; Fort Worth, TX; Pasadena, CA; Boxborough, MA; King of Prussia, PA; Portland, OR; Concord, NH; or Alpharetta, GA. Candidates must be willing to work in one of these locations.
What You’ll Do
You'll work individually and in teams to drive the strategic direction and program design of the Entry Level program geared toward the future leaders within design/build engineering. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, universities, and students to create a seamless recruiting experience. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of campus recruiting and retention, including:
Development of thoughtful and innovative entry level program design targeting specific skill sets within AEC and design/build engineering
Managing relationships with hiring managers, internal teams, and universities to develop tailored recruiting strategies that align with business needs.
Overseeing the coordination and execution of campus events, including information sessions, career fairs, and interviewing days, ensuring all logistics and participant preparation is in place.
Tracking and reporting on program deliverables and KPIs to continuously improve recruitment efforts.
Identifying and capitalizing on creative and strategic approaches to enhance the effectiveness of the entry-level program and its impact on the organization.
Potential to manage and mentor a small team, setting the standard for best practices in entry-level recruiting and program execution.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you should bring a combination of experience, strategic thinking, and strong organizational skills:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years managing full lifecycle of entry-level engineering recruitment, with a focus on Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil/Structural Engineering.
Industry Knowledge: Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) or Design/Build (AEC) consulting firms, with a deep understanding of universities and programs specializing in A/E disciplines.
Program Leadership: Success in developing and implementing entry-level programs that not only attract talent but also foster the integration and growth of diverse teams, ensuring exceptional training and a strong commitment to nurturing future leaders
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and creatively to develop and execute impactful recruiting programs.
Organizational Skills: Track program metrics, report on progress, and present findings to leadership. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and online job boards.
Brand Awareness: Ability to enhance the visibility and reputation of our MEP/Design/Build organization.
Leadership: Mentor others and share knowledge on best practices for entry-level sourcing and recruitment.
Exceptional Communication: Inspire excitement about Design Group’s entry-level opportunities both internally and with potential candidates. Build strong partnerships with universities and hiring teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed for campus events.
