Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This person will field technical support phone calls from customers.
- Field parts calls from customers. This will include placing the order and providing the needed information to both the customer and the Hawkeye sales department. This will include providing pricing, quotations, customer purchase order numbers, and availability.
- Assembly / routing of electrical systems from schematics.
- Assembly of machinery, and routing of hydraulic and pneumatics
- Welding of structural components from blueprints
- Meet established production and quality standards.
- Conform to all company attendance, safety, and personnel policies.
- Able to operate forklifts, man-lifts, and other job-related equipment safely.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude.
- Read drawings and AWS weld symbols.
- Add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers/fractions.
- Perform structural fabrication.
- Have knowledge of overhead crane use and operation.
- Work on overhead structures, confined spaces or beneath machinery.
- Have good oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with Customer Service Department, other Hawkeye Departments, and customers by phone and in person.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to work all shifts.
- Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and work overtime when required by the situation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize.
- Ability to work with a customer or team member on any issue or problem in a courteous and enthused manner, with emphasis on ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity.
- Work in a team environment.
- Have good housekeeping habits, and strict adherence to safety.
- Take personal ownership and pride in quality work.
- Willing to travel 50% of the time based on workdays of the year.
- Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and available to work overtime as needed.
- Willing to assist in other areas as needed.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
