Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative and globally experienced HR executive to lead our People team. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the President, you will align strategic people initiatives with business objectives and be a critical steward of the experiences of our 500 team members around the globe. This is an onsite position in either our Duncan, SC (Greenville/Spartanburg) or Brooklyn Park, MN (Minneapolis) location. Relocation assistance is available for highly qualified candidates.
The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive range of operational and strategic HR experience, both domestically and globally, along with a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment/labor law frameworks. They will be passionate about leading and empowering a high-performing team that drives innovation, creates value, and grows alongside the business. The candidate should also have experience developing HR leaders, including those at remote locations, and leading cultural change initiatives.
Responsibilities:
In partnership with Executive Leadership Team, maintain, champion and align team members behind the vision and business strategy of the organization
Strategically plan people initiatives to drive business and organizational/cultural objectives, and serve as a consistent advocate for BWFS team members
Lead proactive workforce planning and leadership succession planning to support business needs
Serve as a strategic business advisor to senior leaders regarding key organizational and management issues and provide services that support their success
Serve as the influential voice for people strategies, philosophies and initiatives within the organization
Serve as a key partner to the Packaging VP of People, and a liaison to the Barry-Wehmiller Corporate People Team
Continually work to strengthen People team effectiveness and drive consistent team member experience
Maintain knowledge of domestic and relevant global HR policies, programs, laws and issues, and serve as an advisor to business leaders as needed
Develop and manage People Team budget and key performance indicators
In partnership with Corporate Recruiting, develop and strengthen recruitment, on-boarding and retention strategies and implementation plans
Continually assess the consistency and competitiveness of compensation programs and practices, and take action to address opportunities
Be a champion for an inclusive workplace and implement strategies to enhance diversity
Promote cultural awareness and global understanding between domestic and global operations
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. MBA or Masters in HR is highly preferred.
10 years of progressive HR experience, including strategic business planning.
10 years in a leadership role, with proven ability to manage and inspire teams.
Experience leading an HR organization within a manufacturing environment, with labor relations and negotiation experience highly desirable.
Preferred experience managing HR functions for non-U.S. locations while based in the U.S.
Previous experience as an integral member of a multi-functional leadership team.
Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation, wage and hour laws, and safety regulations; advanced HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) are preferred.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with demonstrated effectiveness in communication

The approximate pay range for this position is $180K - $250k. The position is also eligible for annual performance bonus and stock ownership. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
