Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician will work closely with engineering teams to conduct essential product testing and evaluation. This role will be crucial in accelerating the development of systems and technologies used to create life-changing therapies worldwide. Located on-site at our Clearwater, FL facility, you will be part of a dynamic and growing culture that values innovation and teamwork. You will work closely with the R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure the highest standards of product performance and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute Experimental Plans: Operate laboratory-grade and industrial centrifuge equipment to execute planned experiments related to product performance and operation.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Record and analyze test data accurately, prepare detailed reports to document findings and provide feedback to teams.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Assist with the routine maintenance of centrifuges and laboratory equipment. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or electrical issues in a timely manner.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols when operating centrifuges and other complex machinery consisting of pumps, automated valves, compressed air, and high-speed motors.
- Collaborative Support: Collaborative with diverse teams in result reporting and problem solving.
- Process Improvement: Provide recommendations for improving laboratory processes, equipment functionality, or safety procedures to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must have skills:
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 3 years of experience with instrument testing or lab environment.
- Proficiency with basic laboratory tools such as pipettes, mixers, centrifuges, scales, and graduated cylinders.
- Experience with test instruments like dataloggers, pressure gauges, turbidimeters, and flow meters.
- Strong understanding of units of measure and unit conversion.
- Ability to use Excel for basic data management, analysis, and reporting
- Meticulous attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to accurately record procedures, observations, and anomalies, and effectively communicate findings.
Nice to have skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in using advanced Excel features to analyze large datasets, automate tasks, and create complex reports and visualizations.
- Background in designing experiments.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and informative lab reports that accurately present experimental data and conclusions.
