Are you ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and enhancing customer trust? BW Papersystems is seeking a dynamic Logistics Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support and act as a crucial liaison between third-party logistics companies and our team. In this role, you will manage manufacturing and transportation processes, oversee freight claims, and contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
Process imports and exports using our internal business systems.
Create and update spreadsheets to communicate performance metrics to operations and leadership teams.
Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail, while responding to customer needs promptly.
Proactive in providing courtesy and professionalism effectively manages challenging or emotional customer situations.
Meet commitments by completing tasks on time, meeting deadlines, and reaching company goals and performance metrics.
Adapt and improve processes to meet organizational needs and deadlines.
Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges.
Examine material contents and ensure accuracy with shipment records.
Notify carriers of freight pickup and ensure proper routing.
Prepare bills of lading and shipping manifests with precision.
Trace shipments and obtain proof of delivery, expediting when necessary.
Address inquiries regarding shipping status and provide timely updates.
Utilize various computer programs (MAPICS, InforXA, PowerBI, Microsoft 365, and Varsity) effectively.
Pick, pack, and create domestic and international shipments as needed.
Basic Qualifications or Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
AND/OR
Associate's degree in business, supply chain, transportation, logistics, or a related field with 1 years of relevant experience in the transportation industry with a focus on international shipping (knowledge of Incoterms is essential).
