Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES

• Improving existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes; 
• Preparing manufacturing documentation required for product manufacture;
• Managing & coordinating projects;
• Identifying ways to reduce production costs;
• Determine routing and costing of product;
• Designing of fixturing and tooling;
• Assist in the purchasing and implementation of capital expenditures;
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to communicate effectively with shop floor employees and supervisors, other Hawkeye departments.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Very proficient with computers.
• Ability to produce and interpret engineering drawings using CAD.
• Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and work overtime when required by the situation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize.
• Attention to detail.
• Willing to assist in any Manufacturing functions as needed.
• Have good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to safety.
• Take personal ownership and pride of quality work in the department.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
