Job Description:
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst work with the Data Insights team that provides development and support for Business Intelligence (BI), Reporting, and Data Strategy needs of the 1500 global professionals with visibility from all levels of the organization including executives.
The role is expected to think and act strategically in planning, designing, and creating a BI reporting data platform to turn our Data into actionable insights. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining data analytics, visualizations, scorecards, and dashboards.
The position will be responsible for the governance and development of the business intelligence reporting life cycle which uses a variety of technologies, including Microsoft Power BI as well as other standard Data Warehouse tools and techniques. Opportunities will be available to cultivate innovation, evaluate new data tools & platforms, and lead projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and continuous improvements of Data Insights strategy.
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders to define requirements.
- Deliver consistent User Experience utilizing modern visualization for storytelling.
- Define business dimensions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Reviewing source data for anomalies and capabilities to determine feasibility of analytics.
- Govern business reporting standards and best practices.
- Implement advanced BI applications using the Microsoft BI stack including PowerBI, Azure Data Lakes, etc.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues in BI platform and source systems.
- Conduct training to increase team member adoption and enhance their knowledge of the BI platform and tools.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years direct BI development experience with PowerBI, Tableau or Snowflake
- Knowledge of multidimensional data modeling patterns (star schema)
- Prior experience leveraging data from major Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) like MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Prior experience in leveraging data from data warehouses, data marts, tabular (DAX), or multi-dimensional solutions (MDX)
- Experience with Microsoft stack is a plus
- Prior experience with ERP data is a plus.
- Prior experience with Azure Data Lakes, Amazon S3, Google BigLake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift is a plus.
- Understanding of Power BI capabilities, plans, features, and roadmap
- Passionate about delivering customer experience, with a focus on consistent, intuitive user experience
- Demonstrated professionalism in customer interaction.
- Demonstrated ability find compelling narratives through storytelling in data and display them with clarity, precision, and efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of data projects.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
