Barstool Sports is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Technician to join our team on-site in Chicago. The technical team is responsible for understanding all production technology in the office. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our production team by ensuring the smooth operation of livestreams in and out of office, assisting with content creation, and maintaining the technical aspects of our media productions.

What You’ll Do
- On-site Support for Live Events: Provide technical assistance during live shows or events, including livestream publishing, setup and technical troubleshooting in real-time.
- Production Support: Participate in the setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment for live and pre-recorded shows, events, and media content. This includes cameras, audio gear, lighting, switcher, and video encoding equipment.
- Technical Operation: Operate and maintain video/audio equipment, lighting rigs, and other technical tools used in the production of podcasts, video series, and live streaming events.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, ensuring everything is in working order. Coordinate repairs and upgrades as necessary
- 2 years of experience in a live production environment.
- Experience with various production equipment, including cameras, audio/video mixing consoles, lighting, etc
- Experience video switching & building shows
- Experience publishing livestreams to web
- 1-year of experience mixing audio in field or studio
- Experience managing media & working with file shares
- Technical Skills:
- Production
- Live Video Switching
- NewTek, Vizrt TriCaster, vMix, OBS, etc.
- Live Show building with various video and audio inputs
- Video Routing - both analog and network protocols (NDI)
- Media storage/recording/management
- Set blocking & lighting
- General systems & network troubleshooting
- Remote production buildup & operation
- Production setup help with studio podcast & video shoots
- Basic knowledge of various production software (Audition, Premiere, Photoshop, etc)
- Live Streaming
- Encoder provisioning
- Streaming protocols & formats
- Multiple platform streaming via RTMP, SRT, & API
- VOD Hosting and media management
- Audio
- Audio routing (custom mixes for different audiences)
- Audio signal routing - both analog and network (Dante Audio)
- Live Audio mixing (mics, playback, music sources)
- Yamaha QL1, Yamaha TF & TIO, Yamaha DM3, etc.
- Multi-line hybrid phone system & call management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot in real-time.
- We work on various aspects on all shows around the office, specifically the live streams. We require an ability to coordinate across brands and production teams.
- An ability to create and decipher run-of-shows.
- A proactive approach to resolving technical issues during live or recorded productions.
- Ability to lift and carry production equipment (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods as needed during shoots and setup.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
