What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Intern position at Barstool Sports?
Barstool Sports is seeking an intern to join our growing Social team for the summer. The ideal candidate will assist in content creation, publishing, and strategy across our social platforms, helping to engage and grow our audience. This internship runs from May 27 to August 29 and is based 100% in our Chicago office. (This position is also eligible to work out of the New York office.)

What You'll Do
- Manage content creation, social copy, and publishing.
- Develop strategies to drive fan engagement and build community, engaging and interacting with followers.
- Manage the post-sale process for social campaigns, including collaborating with various teams to advise on social creativity and write and copy-edit social copy.
- Understand how to create and produce the same piece of content for each varying social platform.
- Transcribe, caption, and caption check video content as required.
- Track content performance, discovering, and implementing actionable insights.
- Have an eye on and develop the strategy for expanding onto newer social platforms - increasing reach and fan interaction with the brand.
- Work Monday - Friday ( extended weekends as needed), 40 hours per week, in-office.
- Have run a social account in sports, entertainment, pop culture etc. for 6 months with consistent posting (over 15 posts a week)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
- Ability to manage key stakeholders and prioritize appropriately
- Creative and critical thinking skills
