This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as needed basis.Departments will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.ASSIGNMENTApplications for Part-Time Instructors are always being accepted for assignments at the main campus as well as teaching on-line and at off-campus sites located at Fort Irwin and at the 1509 State Street location. Assignments are at the discretion of the District.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/ performance OR

Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance AND Master's in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature or humanities OR the equivalent

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level.

• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
