What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Laboratory Scientist - PRN position at Barstow Community?
Following procedures established by the Section Heads and medical directors, a Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of laboratory tests in many areas of the laboratory, including High Complexity Tests as defined by CLIA. A CLS is responsible for accuracy and reporting of results of application of principles, theories and techniques, professional judgment, computer proficiency, microscopic proficiency, and good communications skills.
Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the biological or chemical sciences as required for California State licensure.Completion of an accredited CLS program with requisite internship.
License and Cert: Valid and current California CLS license. Must provide original/original duplicate license upon hire.
PAY RANGE: $44.81 - 56.23 per hour
