We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team and play a vital role in our daily operations.
Job Summary:
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of a variety of essential supplies, including paper, janitorial, and hotel items to our valued bar, restaurant, and hotel clients in and around Tampa, Florida. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver orders to customers in a timely manner.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring orders are accurate and secure.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and necessary signatures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a similar industry.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Tampa and surrounding areas.
- Ability to operate a hand truck or other material handling equipment.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
