Responsibilities:
Provides transportation service in Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community van for residents to and from local Waverly and Waterloo necessary appointments.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must possess current Iowa chauffeur’s license (Class D) and excellent driving record.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage hours to be here when the resident appointments are. Adjust hours so that you are here on Fridays till 3:30pm
- Manage work so you get the paperwork ready prior to the day of the appointment
- Manage over time
- Assist in dining room as able during meals
- Must provide services to residents on outings as needed (i.e. Accompany, push wheelchairs, etc.)
- Transports residents to and from necessary appointments on time while employing all safety precautions.*
- Organizes trips efficiently *
- Delivers correspondence to physician’s offices, post office, hospital, etc. and returns same, if needed.*
- Enter all appointments in ECS
- Communicates clearly with charge nurse and resident concerning departure times for appointments, etc.*
- Monitor in house Doctor rounds and list to clinic of when the next appointments are due
- Responsible for filling van with gas and cleaning van.*
