Driver / Laborer / CSR

Logistics company is seeking applicants for a single position with responsibilities that include driving, laboring and customer service. The company is based out of Manasquan, NJ 08736.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

· Safely operate a 26’ box truck - A CDL is not required. Having a CDL and/or experience operating large vehicles or machinery is a plus.

· Clean MVR and background is a must.

· This is a physical job and you will be required to load and unload the truck.

· Interface with shippers and receivers while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

· Must have a valid DOT medical card or be able to obtain one. This requires a clean urinalysis.

· Skill and ability to use mirrors when backing up. Good sense and motivation to get out and look while maneuvering.

· Ensure loads are balanced and braced appropriately for safe transport.

· Maintain accurate driving logs using the Motive/Keep Trucking ELD system.

· Conduct daily inspections of the truck – mileage, tire tread and pressure, fluids, lights, brakes, etc.

· Keep a presentable appearance and an orderly work space (i.e. keep the truck box swept out and make sure the trash gets put in the can).

· Scan PODs after each delivery.

Further details:

This position requires a start time between 10am and noon with an end time between 6pm and 8pm.

One of our largest customers ships floor loaded freight. You must be physically able to lift freight that can range from 5lbs to 50lbs repeatedly. You will be loading this freight on your own at times.

_ You will be required to participate in and oversee the loading of freight for every shipment, even those that are palletized. Each piece of freight needs to be assessed to confirm it has been appropriately packaged for safe transport. If you deem a piece of freight unsafe you will need to take appropriate action to secure it through the use of bars and straps or by requesting a rewrap._

_ You will be interacting with repeat customers that we have established relationships with. You are expected to be a steward of those relationships. Being professional, polite and having a friendly demeanor every time you step foot in their facility is as important as your ability to operate the truck safely._

_ We deliver to all five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Philly, north Jersey and throughout the region. _

· Compensation – $25-$28

· Weekly hours range: 25-40

· Start time range: 10am-12pm.

· Area of operation: NJ, PA, DE, NY, MD & CT

· We do not offer health insurance.

· There will not be work on any major holidays.
