PROPERTY MANAGER ASSISTANT
Bartlein & Company, Inc. is a professional property management company located in Santa Barbara. We are currently seeking a full time Property Manager Assistant to assist in the daily administrative functions of managing rental properties. This position is a great introduction for those interested in getting involved in the Property Management industry.
Position Requirements - Must Have
· 2 years office experience and customer service
· 1 year experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, data entry
· Valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proper auto insurance
Position is Ideal For Someone Who:
· Enjoys learning new projects
· Prefers focusing on the details rather than the bigger picture
· Strong customer service skills, enjoys problem solving
· Highly organized, works well with little direction
· Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities & Providing Support to the Property Manager
· Perform move in / move out inspections at various properties & locations (many with multiple floors)
· Enter detailed work orders, follow up and manage work assigned by visiting property, calling vendor
· Answer repair calls; analyze and trouble shoot problems, provide excellent customer service
· Professional letter and correspondence writing
· Build and maintain relationships with tenants, vendors, clients, peers, and management
· Post various notices as needed
· Assemble escrow and refinance packets
· Other duties as assigned
We offer a 37.5 hour work week. Monday – Friday from 8:30a to 5p with an occasional Saturday from 9a – 3p (once every 5 or 6 weeks), benefits package, mileage reimbursement and a non-smoking environment. The starting annual salary is $39,000 with a compensation review at 90 days.
