With a strong tradition of excellence[CH1] , it offers competitive gymnastics in AAU, USA XCEL, USA levels 3-10, along with youth developmental programs, beginner classes, and recreational activities. Bartlesville Gymnastics is dedicated to fostering athletes’ growth by enhancing motor skills, coordination, flexibility, self-confidence, discipline, and a positive mindset through the sport of gymnastics. Job Summary:
The Executive Director will oversee the overall business and operations of the Club, leading a talented and diverse organization towards achieving its Vision and Mission. This role includes leadership, program development, coaching oversight, staff management, and financial management, all while fostering a positive and safe environment for athletes. The Executive Director will report directly to the Club's Board of Directors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans, long-term business objectives, and annual goals to drive the Club’s growth and success.
- Integrate strategy, culture, and daily operations across the organization to ensure alignment with the Club’s mission and goals.
- Manage daily operations, providing executive leadership in program strategy, compliance, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain fiscal integrity by overseeing budget preparation, financial reporting, and ensuring sound financial management.
- Provide financial leadership, oversee operations within the approved budget, and ensure long-term financial stability.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to track financial performance and achieve annual targets.
- Maintain a consistent and transparent management reporting process.
- Pursue revenue opportunities through fundraising, grants, and sponsorships.
- Promote a positive, engaging, and collaborative work environment.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Promote continuous learning and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strengthen the Club’s image by being an engaged and visible presence in the community.
- Oversee reporting and data management to support proactive, data-driven decision-making.
- Manage human resources and talent development, including recruiting and retention efforts.
- Create a positive, healthy, and safe work environment.
- Perform risk management activities to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Manage correspondence efficiently and promptly, addressing member concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage marketing and communication strategies and initiatives.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
- BA in Business Management, Communications, Sports Education, or related field preferred; HS Diploma/GED required.
- 3 years of operational management experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Gymnastics experience in coaching, administration, or as an athlete preferred.
- High-level strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Ability to lead, oversee, and collaborate with staff.
- Ability to obtain USAG and AAU Coach certification, SafeSport certification, and NCSI background check required.
- Strong understanding or ability to quickly grasp USAG Optional gymnastics skills, techniques, and progressions.
- Willingness to travel nationally for competitions on a monthly basis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
