Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is currently looking for an experienced Full-Time Carpenter in San Antonio, TX!

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required and suggest use of specified types of lumber or other material.
• Prepare layouts using rulers, framing squares, transits, and level instruments; mark cutting lines and assembly lines on materials using chalk, pencils and marking gages.
• Assemble, cut, and shape materials, and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, glue, or screws.
• May erect, climb, and work on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level at heights up to 100 feet or below ground level at depths down to 50 feet.
• Verify the trueness of structure with plumb bob and carpenter’s level.
• Erects framework for structures and lays sub-flooring.
• Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
Minimum Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) years of construction experience required.
• Knowledge of operating electric and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must be able to pass pre-hire screenings.
• Skill of mathematics; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of units of measure.
• May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
