The Basics
Location: Cherryvale, KS
Compensation: $22/hr and up
Days/Hours: This job will be 3rd shift, usually 10:30pm to 7am, with some overtime, including weekends.
Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs, trucks and railcars
Material Handled: Soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, soybean hull pellets

What you’ll be doing:The duties of this hands-on job will include:

• soybean receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and transferring
• rail car/track management
• monitoring stored grain condition
• loading out soybean meal, oil, soybean hull pellets
• greeting and directing semi truck drivers
• maintaining and cleaning receiving and loadout facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and your Team
• Shipping and Receiving Operators will be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a processing plant, refinery, mill, elevator or with railroad is preferred
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will be expected to be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• You will work at heights
• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders
• You will be required to wear PPE
