Job Summary:
The part-time Building Custodian is responsible for the general cleaning of assigned Park District facilities and their support systems. This is an at-will position. Other duties and responsibilities include:

- Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment.

- Reports any needed repairs on damaged furniture, such as tables, chairs and desks.

- Maintains facility floors and carpeting.

- Maintains hard surfaces and equipment cleanliness within Park District facilities.

- Follow cleaning schedule to complete work on a timely basis.

- Keep sidewalks clear of debris.

- Remove snow from sidewalks, and throughout the park district, as needed.

- Attend district-wide part-time staff orientations, crisis trainings and office staff trainings as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous custodial experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.
Schedule & Pay:
This role will work over 20 hours a week with hours on weekends and evenings. Starting rate is $15.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications PLUS applicable facility and program discounts.
